I live out west of Buckeye, a few years before we moved into our house the woman that lived in it died in the house. Sometimes at night doors open and close by themselves, my dogs bark and growl at the corner of the living room, cabinet doors open and slam by themselves, and somehow my horses even get out even though they are in a locked corral or locked stall. My brother has seen an old woman out of the corner of his eye walking around our backyard, but when he goes outside to find out who is there he cannot find anyone. . Submitted by Dona

There's a house in Buckeye that you can see when you're going down the road past the post office. Before you get to the dead end, there's a dirt road and if you go up this dirt road you'll get to the house. It amazes me that no one has mentioned this house. Before you get up to the house, it really looks inhabitable. But when you get to it, the house is up on rickety stilts and all the windows are blown out and the roof is caving in, like they just picked the house up and moved it out there for no reason. My friends and I used to go up there all the time and we'd hang out.

The first couple visits weren't bad. They were a bit uncomfortable, but the more we'd go there, the stronger this feeling of utter unwelcomeness would just come over us. There's debris covering every inch of the floor, including splintery wood and broken glass, and there are holes all over the floor. There's a rotting couch on the first floor, and all kinds of clothes and stuff all over the floor upstairs. Like someone lived there after it was abandoned. There's also this door upstairs that leads nowhere. Like, if you opened it, you'd fall right off the house.
One day, though, after we came back to the house for the first time after spring break, there was caution tape covering the property and the whole place felt heavy... Like whatever was there wanted us gone. The air was stuffy and I wanted to cry for no reason. It didn't make sense. Inside, the walls inside were all black, from smoke damage, and the whole first floor was infested with hornets for some reason. Upstairs, the door leading nowhere was blown right off its hinges. On our way back downstairs, my friends discovered a crawlspace we never noticed before. It was abnormally lean inside, no wood or glass or anything sharp. One of my friends got the bright idea to crawl inside it, and when she came back out her hand was bleeding everywhere. But we couldn't find anything inside the crawlspace that could have done it to her.
We got out of there as quickly as possible, but as I backed out, one of my friends screamed and said she saw something in the window. My other friend said it was probably just a curtain, but I guarantee you there are no curtains in that whole house, and as we drove away, every tree we passed would shake violently, trunk and all.
