The blue house was built in 1895 by Nels Benson and was moved multiple times throughout Buckeye's history. The builder and fir1st owner was Nels Benson. His brother has a similar residential structure on old HWY80 in Palo Verde. Originally the home was painted white and featured a full front porch which was later partially enclosed, and the house was painted blue. In 2006 the house was relocated from its original site near Hazen and Miller to the northwest corner of 6th Street and Monroe, where Buckeye city hall stands today. That corner previously housed the Roxy Theater which opened on December 25th, 1935 and closed in 1971. A fire in 2001 ultimately destroyed the theater leaving the lot vacant. The town of Buckeye moved the blue house, also known as the ''Raney House,'' to the site in 2006. However by 2008 plans to preserve the structure were halted when it could not be brought into ADA compliance, and the land was slated to be cleared once again.
Each time the house was moved, it traveled atop a small farmhouse truck operated by the Dean family drawing crowds as residents lined the streets to watch, turning each move into a community event. In 2008 Ian Horvath purchased the property with plans to transform the house into a brewery. Postcards were printed announcing ''Benson's Brewery—coming soon,'' paying homage to the home's original builder. Unfortunately, it is believed the property was later overtaken by transient occupants, and the house was eventually damaged by fire beyond repair. 2026 January 4.

Really do not understand this, I am a man, anyway, she saw something that looked like smoke around her hand so she took a photo as she saw it. Here it is. She said it was gone in a split second. approximately 2013.
