My mom works there and she doesn't ready believe that it is haunted but the story she told me made me believe. She was sleeping in one of the rooms and then she heard footsteps and she called out dan? Is that you? .
Dan is my dad and he didn't answer so she went just laid down again. Then the footsteps came into the room and hit the bed then she looked back thinking it was my dad but no one was there! When she told me this story she looked scary and

she has never went into that room even again.

Hubby and I went there today and I swear I saw a young white girl, about 8 or 9 years old, playing outside one of the captain's houses. She had blonde hair in ringlets and a black sort of top over her dress.

My wife and I live in historic Fort Apache AZ. We have lived here for about three months and live in a house that was built as Junior officer's quarters in 1888. This house and many more in this compound were built during the military build up to capture Geronimo.
