This picture was taken on my way home from Globe, AZ. I did some research on the internet and it turns out that the Apaches who were being hunted by soldiers and were cornered in these mountains.
It was said that instead of surrendering they jumped to their deaths. But years later an eye witness of that day said that the ranchers in the area in a rage because cattle threw them off the cliffs.
I knew nothing of the history when I shot this picture, I just thought how beautiful it was. Now I will also remember the history. The area is called Apache Leap. All input is welcome, I've posted other pictures too for Apache Junction and would like to know what people think of my pictures and if they have had any similar experiences.
