We took a family trip up to Flagstaff Whitehorse Lake. We made reservations two or three days prior. We left early arrived late. Directions were not too clear to this location. We phoned the rangers station several times because we were lost and were driving around for two hours. We saw much beautiful forest, a lonely cow, a huge heard of sheep, and a large herd of elk. We've asked directions a few times from passers-by. A little later we've reached

the turn in to Whitehorse Lake campgrounds. We pulled up to a side trailer belonging to assuming would be the rangers place. It was already a cloudy day

and began to rain. My husband was checking in, and the ranger showed my husband the list and our reservation were not listed, but that he had a couple vacant spots available just for one night. We agreed and pulled up to a lake view of Whitehorse Lake. We walked around, set up camp, and started a fire. It was a nice place. We went on a lakeside nature walk with our two kids. My husband decided to run up the hill and grab his fishing pole.
