(...continued from the previous page)
a bunch of apaches walking the long way around Joe's property on their way to their jobs at the old sawmill.
Later that morning I asked Joe about this. He said that the apaches are superstitious. They walk the long way around because they say his apartments were built on top of an old Apache graveyard. This my only ghost sighting ever happened about 40 years ago days before my 21st birthday. Submitted by Phil

I don't know if anyone will see so I will give short details. I saw a ghost by Christopher Creek in Payson AZ. I was stuck in the snow with my girlfriend we kept getting stuck, we had no chains we got stuck in this one spot. We look up and our head lights were shining right in between this huge electric tower where we saw two ghosts; a man and woman they were dressed like they were from 1920. They were so detailed and glowing this yellow color. We were fascinated and a little scared; they were not moving until the man turned his head at us. He did this twice, this was at night.

In early winter of 1996 I was dating a girl from the Tonto Apache reservation in Payson, AZ. After leaving the reservation about 3 am in the morning I made a right hand turn from the rez to go back into town (before the stoplight and big casino were built) and saw the scariest thing I have ever seen in my life. Off to my right out of the big ditch / burm on the right hand side of the road just on the edge of my headlights I saw a very strange and intimidating creature. The creature looked like a man at first but I quickly learned it was nothing of a man. This thing slowly walked from the right hand shoulder of the road to the center of the right Lane of traffic (my lane). It slowly walked across in front of me staring at me the whole time... Looking straight into my eyes. This ''thing'' had the body and torso of a well developed man yet it was covered in fur. That of which resembled the fur of a coyote or wolf.
