I used to live off of old Nogales hwy down by Green Valley. Our home was set on this large piece of property along with several other homes. One night I am talking to my mom as I washed the dishes. I was asking her if I could stay over night at a friends house in Tucson.
My back was to her as I washed the dishes. I was waiting for her response to my question and looked to my left to see her. Out of my peripheral vision I saw what I thought was my mom standing there watching and listening to me.

Still waiting for her to say yes or no to my question I turned completely around and saw a woman standing there with a bonnet on her head. She had on an apron with a long dress, her hands were cupped together in front of her.

The moment I turned to look at ''my mom'' she looked down, turned to her right and glided down the hallway to our bedrooms. I wasn't sure what was going on so I followed after her, calling her mom because my parents and myself were the only ones home at that time.
No lights were on in the hallway or bedrooms so it was pitch dark. This lady kept moving into the dark hall again, I called out mom? She looked over her right shoulder and disappeared into the blackness.
I hurried my pace and reached the light switch for the hallway. Turned it on and nothing there, all bedrooms empty. I knew then so I ran back up the hall to my parents bedroom and pounded on their door.
