Comment by anonymous: As a teenager in Winterhaven we would walk a lot on the canal banks to get from place to place throughout the Quechan reservation. On this particular night it was about midnight I was walking with 2 good friends to Yuma which was not unusual for us.
The canal is about 20 ft deep and as wide as 2 school buses. It was a full moon so visibility was great, the moons reflection from the water was clear as day. The walk was approximately 5 miles at certain point the canal curves around a bend, as we walked closer to the bend we saw a black figure walking towards us there was an uneasy feeling among us but we didn't say anything. We just kept walking towards it.
We kept our conversation going but not saying nothing about the dark figure that was approaching us. When it finally finally met us we could not make a face or identify any facial figure it was silent and very tall between 6/12 to 7 ft tall and didn't seem to touch the ground more like it was floating.
We were in shock we didn't run or talk about what we had just witnessed for a few minutes we turned back to see the figure gliding away and gradually fade off.

My two children had gone to school already, I locked the door and I laid on the couch. I woke up about 9:11 because I heard rustling in the back room. As if they're were somebody in the house but the door was locked.
So frightened I couldn't move for a few seconds I heard a gust of wind and felt something touch my neck again, I didn't move. I immediately ran to the door. No one was in the house and I stayed up until I had to go to work.|
