It's was December 18, 2018. I was homeless sleeping in a tent in the preserve next to the Highland canal and was sitting up one night under bridge under Chambers Road. I was just got off a labor job, and it was about 9:30 p.m. All of a sudden a large ape like creature with short black fur glided past me. It got 10 feet past me, turned around while walking, an looked at me. The creature had large round eyes and large straight teeth. It turned straight ahead,

walked another 20 feet, an turned down in the canal. I sat there shocked. I told people the next day at labor service. I think they think I'm crazy, but

I'm not crazy. It was a real deal. It was some type of entity, I think.

I grew up in Aurora, Colorado, and I can honestly say that the HighlandCanalTrail is haunted. We lived closer to 2 chambers and Mississippi and would go down to the canal to catch crayfish when we were young. As a teenager we would have to walk through there at night and would hear screams of what was to believed to be a witch. We would also run into what looked like leftovers from a satanic rituals (e.g. candles, dead cats, and what have you). There are also numerous times where we were chased home by dark cloudy like ghost objects.
