Yes the Durango train engineers do dress in old fashioned turn of the century clothing. Not to say you didn't see something. I've heard that the strater is haunted... The diamond Belle salon part in particular. I live in Durango and I have walked through just taking pics one afternoon and I didn't get much but there was a disinct orb in front of the fireplace in the hotel and I got a couple other strange things.

I was a baker at shelby's New York bakery in the 90's. I had several very loud and eerie experiences there in the wee hours there by myself. I would be prepping and hear someone stirring their coffee right behind me to look around and see no one. I would hear crashes in the back of the bakery and expect to see a speed rack full of sheet pans on the ground yet there was never a dish out of place. Then one time I was walking down main late at night after the bakery had closed went out of business and my friend Kermit and I saw a man with a white handle bar mustache sitting at the cook's table drinking coffee.
