The place that burned down out in the Fruita area was called the Tapica Ballroom it was a dance hall of sorts in the 1950s. My parents as teen agers went there on the weekends to dance and a lot of kids died going out there at the hammer bridge which was on the road out there.

I was told it burned down sometime in 1958, I myself think it would be haunted due to the lives of kids that were killed leaving there after dances.

Comment by Melissa: The dance hall was on 21 Rd it is not there now they have built a house buy were it was I've been trying to find out history about it also.
