I don't know if anyone remembered this but when I used to live there me and friends use to go out to I think it was Fruita, to that mansion that burned down said to be haunted some doctor who used to own it and he killed his family in it or something along those lines. If anyone remembers that or going out there please comment, I'm trying to find history on it. I think it was Fruita or Loma, some where out there. Submitted by Carie

My extended family has lived in the Palisade area since 1919 and my mother's family in the Grand Valley (where Palisade is located) since the late 1880'. I well informed of what has happened in Palisade belong to the local historical society and I never heard of any ghost stories ever! And I keep my ears open. If there were any ghost stories one might think they would originate around two of the local coal mines where one mine had 6 miners killed over a 70 year period and another mine had 6 miners killed over a 20 year time frame.
