Sunset Park Elementary School: Susie the swinger. I live a block away from sunset Park Elementary. My uncle would always tell us stories about a little girl that was swinging on the swings late at night (do not ask me why).She did the spinning thing you can do on swings and it spun too far around and strangled her. I never used to believe it because he would tell a lot of stories. I have seen the ghost twice in my lifetime. One night when I was about 14 I was skootering with my two friends Ryan and Marcie. We were headed to marcies house when my mother called me and told me to get home. I said farewell to my friends and left alone.
I took the path from the events center to sunset Park because it was the fastest way. When I got to the little Park where the playground is I looked over and I could see the middle swing swinging as high as it possibly could. It did not move around a lot like if someone would push a swing to pull a prank on someone but it was as if someone was actually swinging on it but there was no one around. I could not take my eyes off it and then...Bam!!! I hit a pot hole and fell.

My scooter broke into two pieces but I jumped to my feet picked up my pieces and ran the last block to my house. I got home and told my story but my family did not believe me. That was the first encounter... 4 years later... I am now 18 and have not seen the ghost since my first encounter. I begin to think that maybe it was all in my imagination but a little vibe in my head keeps telling me it was real. So me my friends Kevin and Cullen were driving back from a summer girls basketball game. Kevin went with tree (one of the basketball girls :) ) and me and Cullen were in my car. We began to race tree and Kevin and as they took a left on University (the Street before the playground) we went straight. We turned around the corner and whenever I would drive past that playground I always glance over at it. And this time when I glanced over I lost my breath.

I began screaming and yelling and Cullen panicked because he did not know what was going on. I flipped the car around and pointed it at the swingset. I flashed my brights on it and Cullen saw it swing too. And as soon as I flashed my brights on the swings the swing that was swinging jolted as if someone had jumped off of it. And the swing to the left of it shook as if it was touched by something. I reversed it and sped home as fast as I can. When tree and Kevin returned to my house we yelled at them to follow us back to the swingset. When we got back however the swing stopped swinging and of course they did not believe us. That was on June 17 2010 and I have not seen Susie the swinger since. If anyone else has seen the ghost share your wisdom!!!.

Comment by CC: I'm not sure if you check this but I saw her when I was 16, years ago. I was leaving a friend's house after watching movies and it was during the spring when it doesn't quite hail and the wind was blowing.
At first I thought it was just the wind and I looked across the street and I saw the same vision. I saw a little girl swinging, and what struck me as odd was two parts. One that she was swinging in the middle of the night (it was around 2 a.m. ) and two that she was swinging so high it looked like she was practically swinging circles around the swing set.
I did not see her face. Just her vision, and I haven't been able to go back since ...
This was in 1993. Several years later when I was 21 I went back with a friend and we did not see her that night, but we saw a series of cars pulling into the parking lot shining their lights on the swing set.
I tried to research her find out who she is what happened to her but at the time I was too inexperienced and I'm too scared to do it now. Anyway, just had to share ...
