Comment by Bob: It was a one-story home. There was a basement that was unfinished and could be accessed from both the inside and outside of the home. The attic entrance was literally cut out of the wall in the living room. It was like 2. 5 feet up from the floor, so it was a huge step up. I will never forget that place.

My son liked going out to places he heard were haunted around Halloween. He asked us (me and his dad) to go out to Cortner Road with him and his friend. At the time we had a rental van because my car was in the shop. We pulled up on the road in front of the gated driveway. We all got out and walked up the driveway. It felt creepy as walked all together. My son and his friend were laughing and making noise trying to scare me. We got to the burnt down house and stood there for a minute while trying to be quiet to see if we heard or seen anything.
All of a sudden we heard the grass as if someone was walking toward us. I took a phone with me and took some pictures. Some of the pictures had a red little floating light in them. I don't know what happened to those pictures since I haven't had that phone in years. After we heard the walking, it freaked us all out because it felt like there was something there other than us. We started sprinting back towards the car. His dad had a stick in one hand, and me on his other side holding his hand in a death grip. My son and his friend were ahead of us. All of a sudden we could see the van on the road. The side sliding door opened, the back hatch door opened the lights started to flash on and off, and the horn was honking. We ran towards it, jumped in, (scared) and took off.

Comment by Anthony: How long ago did that happen? I myself had lived on Corner Road just over the hill of the old corner house. I'll tell you it was scary and exciting at the same time, and yes I was around when the house caught on fire. The old corner house was always active when the teens used to go and party over there. When no one was there it was something else. Especially when you're on a dark street you can hear a female screaming for dear life. My brothers and I would sit outside but never get too close to the road when it got dark.
One day I had gotten in trouble, so my step dad told me I had to go to the mountains to work with him the next day, so I went to sleep. Sometime early morning I woke up to the smell of smoke and hearing sirens. That was when the house burnt down, so I never ended up going to work that day. I never knew why, but that day my youngest brother and I decided to go on a little bike ride to the top of the hill. Doing so I ended up falling on my way up, and we both were laughing the rest of the way up until we got to the top. For some odd reason we paused and stared at the burned down house.
Along the side of the house we saw a man with a very dark shadow. We yelled because no one was supposed to be down there. When they turned around it was as if the man was wearing a hood. Then we saw the eyes, more red than a set of break lights. Seeing that, we both stood there in shock. You can email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
