I have just finished reading the story about the haunting in Trinidad,Colorado. I recently had an encounter here in Trinidad. I am a college student here, and my friends and I decided to go have a few drinks (party).We went to a popular place where the locals like to have fun. They call it the tunnels. These tunnels run under Trinidad for about more or less a mile. Anyway, we were getting ready to have a few cold ones when we heard a noise.At first we thought it may be a mouse or a racoon. It started getting louder and closer, as we went closer towards the sound. It started getting louder and faster like the sound of a horse's hoofs clopping.We yelled '' is someone out there messing around. '' there was no reply, we grabbed our beer and everything else we had and ran east down the tunnel. We were relieved when we got to the opening where a local store (jr''s) was illuminating.We were happy and not stressed anymore. All of a sudden, the noise came towards us again. Like it was following us. We didn't even hear it running after us when we were running from it. We ran out the tunnel and we looked back, we saw some kind of image standing there looking at us.It paused then turned around back the way it had came from. But what was strange about it, was that when it turned away from us. It's eyes glowed and it walked like a human but it had a hunch back and it walked away heavy like it had wood or something attached to it's feet.No we were not drunk or on anything else. We know what we saw. There's something in those tunnels. I don't know what's there but I'll never go in again. Sighting was 9/13/08 location: the tunnels behind jr's food store& Nevada Avenue.At 9:00-9:30 pm. One more thing, it didn't follow us out of the tunnel. It seemed like it had to stop for some reason.
