I still live in Trinidad, and every time I pass by that intersection I think how close I came to something happening to me. Thank you for reading and letting me share my story.

I sense there are ghosts in the old red mansion by the Trinidad Arena. It used to be a farm for horses; you can't miss it. The property is for sale but it is fenced off. I would like to take a team of investigators there. I sense there is a male ghost there.

I lived with my Dad at the Columbian Hotel from 1974 to 1980 in Trinidad, Colorado. The Hotel, as far as I remember was built the later 1800s. I never heard of any stories of the paranormal there. The Hotel has some rich historical past. It is no longer open, nor has been for quite a few years. My experience happened around 1979. I had some friends I hung around with that I honestly didn't know that they practiced black arts.
One night a friend and I went over. One opened the door and was acting strange. We went in, and they were in the middle of a ''ceremony. '' Candles and a pentagram were on the floor. Me and my friend watched this for a while, and for some reason we both broke out into hysterical laughing. The others got very angry, so we left. One night while sleeping at my room at the Columbian I woke up and saw a black profile. I froze in fear. A minute later it was gone. Several nights later I woke up and felt fear in me. I rolled over on my side, and by the door stood a figure. As I focused I was horrified. I saw the most hideous thing I've ever seen.
I don't know how my mind could imagine something like this. I tried to yell and nothing could come out of my mouth. I was paralyzed literally. I felt like something had me completely pinned down to my bed. I then started to whisper the Lord's Prayer. As I continued, I was able to speak a little louder and kept praying. My body transformed from indescribable fear to a wave of peace and comfort. The figure or demon was gone. I could never pin that to the Hotel or the experience I described. That image will never leave my mind, but anytime after whenever I sense something bad I pray.
