Comment by Earth Spirit: JJ I know the spot you mentioned as I once lived a few blocks from there. There is an old railroad grade that runs parallel to south Pleasant View road that takes you to the remnants of the bridge you mentioned and alongside the grade there is an electrical switch box of sorts next to where the railroad tracks once ran.
On several occasions during the summer I've walked past that switch box (the railroad grade is a great hiking trail) and suddenly felt the temperature drop a good 15-20 degrees as if I was walking into a refrigerator only to have the temperature rise back up again after taking a few steps.
So far I've been unable to find any information about fatalities on or near those tracks but I did find some information about four teens who died in a train-car collision north of there in 1950.

Sometimes when I go swimming just at the end of Pleasant View Road there is a turn which leads towards an old road that leads to a very broken bridge witch still has two pillars where the bridge used to connect.

Then a little down the ways across the river away from the bridge is an old ghost town it is know as Pleasant View Town. Kind of creepy down there at night.
