This took place about ten years when I was working in the gift shop at the hyatt regency lake tahoe (which, unfortunately has been torn down during the remodel some years ago). The first day of work my boss and co-manager sat in the office and casually cautioned me not to be startled by the store ghost! I thought they were just kidding - ribbing the new employee. when all was quiet I was sitting behind the counter flipping through a magazine when I heard footsteps clicking on the wood floor in front of the store. I

jumped up to greet the customer - and no one was there. This turned out to be an almost daily occurrence and soon became routine and I became accustomed to hearing footsteps when nobody was there.
