vanished. Furthermore, there was nowhere for her to have run off to; we were in a very desert, desolate, low traffic spot in the mountains. There were no trees for her to hide behind and no buildings on our side of the access gate; simply nowhere to hide, unless she quickly (milliseconds) jumped into a sand cavity and miraculously buried herself in sand, but this was an elderly woman, and certainly not even the world's fastest athlete could hide like

that in mere milliseconds.
Although this experience was in broad daylight, the event has left me with a fear of the dark; I'm scared that if I

ever see a vanishing ghost again, it could possibly happen at night, and I could be all alone, and it could lead to some serious damage to my undergarments!
Some additional details: I spoke with one of the geology employees after the incident. He said that nobody from that department would ever be out there sweeping the road, especially not on the entrance side of the access gate. He also told me that there is no woman with gray hair working there. Lastly, he told
