I later talked to her about the bathroom experience and along with the kitchen story. She didn't buy it. She simply thought it was a neighbor banging around. I, on the other hand, wasn't able to make much sense out of it.

footsteps in my own room in the middle of the night that was normally accompanied by breathing. It was creepy. Eventually, Jessica and I had found a new

place to live downtown. She moved there a week before I did, leaving small things behind for later. Things would get weird at night. The first or second night alone, I would hear something small and light get ''tossed'' at the wall that I shared with Jessica's room. It would happen every couple of minutes. It sometimes sounded like someone pulled off their sweatshirt and tossed it at the wall.
