We had moved back on base into housing and were issued a three-bedroom house for me and my daughter (I was a single parent). The swamp cooler (AC) ceiling vent was right outside of my daughter's bedroom door, so it was always chilly in that part of the house. Over the first couple of months of living there I asked some of the neighbors about the families that had lived in the house prior to me. All told me that no one since they had lived there had

been in the house more than a year. I also asked them if they had all been couples or were there any single parents. Everyone confirmed that no single

parent had lived there. All had told me that everyone that had lived there, since they themselves had been living on that street, fought like cats and dogs. I said there was yelling, and they would tell me that there was knock-down drag-out fights and screaming.
This first night there my daughter and her friend Shirley were asleep on the living room floor since it would be a couple of days prior our furniture and belongings would arrive. Camping
