To this day this event freaks me out if any one has heard any stories of an old lady in a night gown walking down any streets there in Carlsbad please write me back on this page. -thank you-.

Comment by Christina: Mister, about the story of the old lady in the dress I have a friend. Him and his wife were out around 11 pm walking their dog, and a woman in a tattered dress was walking toward them. He said she was barefoot, she looked like she was from another time. Anyway she passed right by them and when they turned around to look at her she was gone! Maybe it's the same woman, this was in the mid 90s, you never know???.

Comment by John: I was raised in Carlsbad so my friends and I would always be running around late at night. I have personally had two experiences with this woman. While walking along the canal close to the boys and girls club my buddy and I saw her on the opposite side walking the same direction she followed us until Lea St mad we turned to see if she would cross with us and she was gone.
The second incident I was walking down Greene St towards Canal St. I had crossed towards the library and I had seen her again walking towards me. I looked down at my phone to check a text and when I looked back up yet again gone.
I continued to feel as if someone was watching me until I reached the rec. My mother tries to tell me it's La Llorona but I don't know if it is?.
Comment by John: I've seen her too. Kind of the same situation but I was a little bit outside of Malaga. Me and about 3 other friends were cruising the back roads behind Malaga and we come up to a bridge with a really old looking school chair on the side of the road in front of it with a worn cardboard sign, and rocks holding the sign on the chair the sign had ''help----) '' drawn on it pointing down a dirt road next to the bridge.
So we kind of laughed about it and were saying things like someone probably did it to scare somebody and what not. So we just brushed it off went over the bridge and kept going straight. Well later when the sun started to go down we started heading back and we pull up on that same bridge.
Well as we are going across this bridge my friend slows down to about 5 mph because he sees something off to the side on the other side of the bridge walking behind a bush so he turns his high beam headlights on, and pull up to the dirt road where the chair was and as soon as we are able to see around the bush it's an old woman in a hospital looking gown barefoot walking towards us so keep in mind this is on the other side of Malaga we were what looked like in the middle of nowhere and this woman looked like she was around 70s or 80s so when we saw her we all freaked out and my friend got us out of there.
The whole time this is happening she didn't say one word and as we were speeding away she held up her arms as is if she was trying to give a hug and then put them down and continued to walk straight.
That had to have been the creepiest moment I've ever had. Since then I've been trying to find like stories to see where or what the origin of this lady is. It sounded a lot like you guys' stories so I thought I would share.
