One night I was in bed trying to fall asleep. I was lying on my side, and I started hearing scratching noises through my pillow. I thought maybe I had a mouse and made a mental note to get some traps the next day. I continued to hear the noises, so I turned my head a little, so that my ear wasn't directly on my pillow, and I could no longer hear the scratching. I kept trying to fall asleep, but I got this creepy feeling that I wasn't alone and became overwhelmed by fear. I rolled over and turned on the lamp next to my bed, and I sat up in bed and was looking around the room.
Literally seconds later I felt something pound hard three times on the bed frame right underneath me. I was so scared I couldn't even move. Even though my light was on I was afraid to put my feet on the floor to run out of the room. I kept thinking whatever it was would grab my ankle. Finally, I got the courage to run out, and I went to my son's room and knocked on the door.

When he opened the door I was still so scared. I could barely get words out. I told him what happened, and he checked under my bed with a flashlight, but he didn't see anything. It took me several nights to be able to sleep in my room again. Even then I left the light on and the door open and fell asleep hugging my Bible. I've had several strange things happen in this house, but I own my home, so I don't plan on moving anytime soon. The spirits have got to go!.

When I was a freshman in HS in the late 90s we lived in a subdivision known as Sunny View. I was getting ready for a cheerleading performance in my bedroom. It was one of the last bedrooms down a long hallway. At the time we had tile in our home. Well, I remember sitting on the floor in my bedroom facing our mirrored closet doors curling my hair in a big t-shirt getting ready. My mom and younger siblings left about 45minutes before me because she had to help collect tickets for our show.
The plan was once dressed and ready, I'd call my neighbor, and we'd head that way. My mom left, and I remember hearing our screen door followed by front door close. A few minutes passed, and I heard the same screen door and front door open. Then I heard footsteps coming my direction. Confused, I paused and yelled my sibling's and mother's names. There was no reply, but the footsteps got closer to my room. I was frozen with fear still sitting on the floor being as quiet as possible.
