to do with my sister. I got up and went to my baby sister's room and what I saw made my heart drop to the floor. Everything that was in her room was piled up in the middle of the room. Everything, including the crib with my sister still in it. Everything was piled up around her in the center of the room. It was the creepiest thing that I have ever witnessed. I don't know what caused it or how it happened. .

In 1979 my family and I moved to Clovis, NM (stationed at Cannon Air Force Base/Chavez Manor) to a home on Carolina Loop. My father was active duty Air Force, and we had just moved from Clark AFB, the Philippines. The first encounter my mother had was when my two brothers and I were playing in the front yard running through the sprinkler system. I was eight years old at the time. My mother was standing in the driveway with towels in her arms to dry us off with. She looked stunned and would not let us into the house. We waited until my father got home, and my mother explained how she had seen a black hand, just a hand, turning the master bedroom door knob and opened/closed the door 3 times. She could not believe what she was seeing, but when she looked again the hand was still on the door knob. She grabbed the towels from the hallway cabinet as she went outside. My father tried to convince her she was just seeing things; until one night they both witnessed a dark shadow float above them as they were sleeping in the master bedroom.

My father asked neighbors about the house and was informed there was an African American Security Forces Police Officer that got into an altercation with his wife. She took his gun and shot him in the chest in the master bedroom. My parents decided it was best from then on to sleep in the den room. The spirit would turn on and off the lights in the hallway bathroom and flush the toilet. My father would do his best to stay up all night as we all were sleeping. He had gone to the housing office to talk to Mrs. Flowers to see about moving to another house. She said we could move to the house that was empty next door that was connected to the house we were in (duplex unit). We moved to the connected unit and covered the window with bed sheets to use as temporary curtains in the master bedroom where we all were sleeping at. My mother heard a voice in the middle of her sleep that said ''Look at me!'' She looked up at the window and saw a handsome black guy wearing green fatigues. He kept saying ''look at me!'' My mother was angry, and tried to get up, but she was unable to move. She felt like she was tied to the mattress. She tried to swing her arms to get my father's attention. When she bumped into him he woke up, and she told him there was a man in the window. My father told her there was no man in the window, just a sheet. The man was gone.
We ended up moving to the den to sleep from then on; until my mother complained once more to the housing office to give us another house. Mrs. Flowers told my mother she was unable to give them another house. My mother explained he was haunting the other side of the house turning the lights on and off and flushing the toilet. My mother asked her ''how would you feel if you had three children?'' So Mrs. Flowers told my mom she would look into giving us another home, and we ended up moving three months later to Montana Loop. When I was twelve years old a girl around my age came up to me at the base housing bus stop. She asked me if my mom had really seen a ghost in the house on Carolina Loop. I told her ''well, that's what my mom said. '' She told me her mom was seeing the same thing, so we swapped phone numbers for our mothers to get in contact with each other. When her mother called and my mom picked up the phone, it sounded like she was hearing ''stay away from the phone, stay away from the phone'' with static the entire time. My mom handed me the phone and told me she wanted nothing to do with the lady that called. She felt like the spirit of the guy had found her.
When I was eighteen years old I was dating an airman that wanted to go to the housing office to get listings of places to rent off base. When I noticed the name of Mrs. Flowers on a desk I told the lady sitting behind the desk that I used to live in a house that was haunted off Carolina Loop. She told me the house was still haunted and that several people had moved in and moved out. They did not ever stay there very long. They were working on getting the house blessed. He was an angry spirit. The Chavez Manor housing area is now abandoned. I am not sure if the home is still there or if all the homes were demolished. Supposedly, it was cleared due to asbestos.
