My husband, our two kids, a couple of friends, and I went camping at the Butte for the first time. That night the kids were asleep in the tent, and the adults had set up our camping chairs in the water facing our camp site, so we could get our feet wet while drinking. We were sipping a bit and listening to quiet music on my phone while chatting when one of our lanterns turned on back at the campsite. (It was one that had a little rubber button that you

had to push to turn on and off).
We all kind of stood there in disbelief when our buddy walked out of the water to turn it off. We took a picture

of him walking back. His eyes were glowing, and there was a strange orange flame behind him (not our campfire). The night progressed, and nothing else happened. Getting ready for bed, we heard growling behind some bushes. Upon looking, nothing was there. There was a cool wind after that which shook our tents, and the night ended. We will go back to the Butte later and I'm curious to know if anything else will happen. I'll update if something does!.
