Fort Bayard is a very interesting place to visit. I went with my grandma during the summer, and I heard gunshots but kind of dismissed it as there is a shooting range nearby. I looked into the houses and the windows of the hospital. There was just that general creepy feeling that you feel in a haunted place. My grandma and I were going to drive to the graveyard. This is where things got weird. As we were going to leave, a truck drove in and an older

woman got out with a camera. I assumed that she was going to take pictures of the hospital. I asked her what she was taking pictures of. She gave me a

smile and happily stated she was going to take pictures of her grandson. I replied with something like ''aww, that's nice.'' I got into my grandma's car and watched as she proceeded to take out a rocking horse and another ride-on toy before setting them in the grass. She just stood there and waited. From what I saw there were no children present.
