Back in summer of 2015 I got put into a foster home here in Fort Summer, and I am of Navajo descent. If you don't know, Fort Sumner was the end location of the Navajo long walk. It was a forced removal and ethnic cleansing of my ancestors from our land in 1864 led by the US government. Many of our people died along the way at Fort Sumner and on the way back to our motherland. I stayed at a ranch with a nice white family, and I had multiple strange occurrences

in the three months I stayed there. I shared a bedroom with another foster kid who was also a teenager, and every night we would hear weird noises outside

of our bedroom window. There were noises such as footsteps, scratching at the window, a sound that sounded like someone walking and dragging a stick along the outside walls of the house, horses neighing loudly, and stampedes of sheep or goats bleating and moving away from something in the fields, including neighbor's dogs' sudden barking and growling and more.
