Me and some friends were exploring the hospital and when we went upstairs we went into a big room the door all of a sudden slams. When it slams I see a tall black shadow standing over the door. We all yelled in fright.

I personally have gone to the old Fort Wingate a number of times throughout the past two years. Usually I would be walking through with a couple of friends, but we haven't really noticed anything strange once you get over the overall creepy isolated feeling.

Only one time about 2016 summer did we come across something out of the ordinary. It was when we were by the old Hospital, that is where we felt that we were being followed and realized that we were not alone, actually being followed by two other ''people'' (skin walkers. ) We began to hear distant whistles in the distance behind us and little rocks being thrown ahead of us.
There was about seven of us as a group, and we were surprised that they still tried to scare us off. Of course they probably didn't know that two of us were packing heat, but of course that was only if we really needed it. We just continued to wonder through the old Fort Grounds knowing that we would be okay and not really encountering anything else. Soon enough whoever or whatever was following us must have lost interest because we stopped hearing things. However, we began to see shadows in the windows of the old school building just passing (flickering. )
The only light was from the moon. We left around 1:00 am cut back across the fence with the hole in it. Then we went through a ditch to get to our vehicles which were parked at the church past the fire station. Of course we felt other presences while there but nothing to intense. I thank God that I was protected and continue to be a Child of God. Of course I usually check places like that out still. The old Fort Wingate is an interesting place to check out, but be warned that you might not be the only ones there. Know your exits. Stay Together. Be cautious, as it is on Federal Land and can be seen as a federal offence if you decide to trespass.
