When I first attended NMHU I used to live on Grant Street in the mid-late 1990s not far from the town square in an old adobe house from the 1840s. There were several ghosts in the house, but the strangest was the one that kept dialing 911 mostly when nobody was home; cops were scared to keep returning. My roommate Chris had a digital phone that for some unexplained reason would make the old rotary dial sound from its speaker. Twice around the house

I saw for a brief instance a young Chicano man with semi-curly hair with John Lennon glasses wearing an olive-drab army coat, very 1970s looking. Though

very still this ghost was fully formed and looked alive but would quickly disappear when I gave notice. Months later my landlord told me that a young man used to rent the house in the 1970's and died of a diabetic coma shortly after dialing 911. Las Vegas was lots of fun back in the day; I miss all my crazy LV friends but not this 1970s' vato! .
