play late at night when I'm out at Bottomless Lakes which is located nearby. All you have to do is be quiet for a moment and listen. You will hear them.

Comment by Merlly: Wow. I've heard those drums at my mom's house when I still lives there. She lives right on the city limits line. It was super late, and I heard them outside very faintly. I tried recording it, and you can barely hear them, but they're there.

In 2008 I was moving from Arlington, TX to Monterey, CA. My friend Melody had agreed to make the drive out with me, and we decided to make a trip of it stopping at all the tourist attractions on the way out. We had both wanted to go to Roswell, NM, so we took a detour and decided to stay the night there. We arrived in Roswell around 6 pm and had hoped to visit the UFO Museum. Unfortunately, it was closed at 5:00 pm on weekdays, so we got checked into our hotel and decided to go to dinner at a local sports bar.

I needed to get a military dependant ID before I arrived in CA since my husband had just joined the military. I looked up air force bases nearby, and Walker Air Force base came up. After we finished dinner and watching a hockey game we decided to run by the base hoping to find out where the ID office was, so we could stop by there quickly on our way out of town the next morning. Little did we know that Walker AFB had closed down in 1967. It was creepy enough driving around the abandoned post, but then we saw what appeared to be someone walking up ahead. We drove up slowly and saw a young girl no older than twelve in a dirty white night gown pushing a boy about the same age strapped in a very old fashioned looking wheelchair.

The girl appeared to be walking but was moving far faster than someone walking should have been able to move. We drove by them, but they stared straight ahead as though they didn't notice us at all. It seemed very odd to me that children especially one in a wheelchair should be out so close to midnight. I turned my car around to drive back to see why they were out, and when I drove back they were gone. To this day we are not quite sure what we saw, but it was the creepiest thing I have ever experienced.
