In 1966 my husband and I lived on Shartell Avenue. I was expecting our first child. He went to Job Corps in a school on 5th Street (walking distance). One morning he got up, got ready, and left the apartment. I remember him kissing me then I went back to sleep. Now he always made sure the door was locked when he left. I woke up to a bone crushing cold, and I thought someone had come in the apartment through the bedroom door that led outside. No one was there. I was still half asleep, so I turned on my side to go back to sleep chalking it up to crazy early morning nonsense.
When I turned over and looked from my bed out to the living room much to my surprise there was a young woman rocking in my rocking chair reading my book! My mind said ''you are not seeing this. Go back to sleep,'' and I did. I also did not have my glasses on, but I could see some without them. This is where it gets weirder. When I got up later I looked at my book, and the page was not where I left it. I asked my husband when he came in for lunch if he had messed with my book, and he said no. I went to my landlady and asked what had happened to the people in our apartment. The tale she told me was interesting in light of what I had just seen. It seemed that the couple and their baby were coming down Comanche Hill and had a head on collision killing the woman and the baby which were buried together. I did not see the baby in my vision, but I did see the woman. This happened when I was fifteen or sixteen, and I am now sixty-five years old. To me it is like it happened yesterday. I have never and will never forget this.

In August of 2013 we moved to Roswell, NM. My wife was offered a job at one of the hospitals, and a friend of hers allowed us to stay in his sprawling second house for a month for free. Very generous of him indeed since the house is in an affluent neighborhood, and the rent in that area is quite high.
We settled in quickly and started looking for a place of our own. The house was built in 1980 and had a rather confusing layout with some dark corners, including an unusually creaky attic and isolated bathrooms that made my wife very uncomfortable. She kept reminding the two of us not to buy a house this large although there were security cameras all over the place and a state of the art security system. It never troubled me though; however, my opinion changed very soon.
One fine day as I was walking out of the guest bedroom after giving my daughter a bath, I heard a short whistle roughly three feet from my left ear. I stopped in my tracks. I looked around to see if my wife was teasing us, but sure enough she was working in the kitchen while listening to gospel music. Everything else was silent. I counted it out as my imagination and did not think much of it. The same day, at ten minutes to midnight, I was in the master bathroom sitting at the WC behind a louvered door when I heard children's whispers roughly six feet from the door that lasted barely for three seconds. I thought my daughters were up again and after about five minutes came into the master bedroom, where they had been sleeping with their mother, with the idea to reprimand them. But to my surprise the two of them were in deep sleep and were lying in the same posture as when I passed them earlier to go to the bathroom. For some reason I dismissed this again.
