It happens like that every time. I'm not too sure of the exact areas, but last time we were driving I told my husband about it he turned and looked at me with this I know exactly what your talking about! Look on his face.
He told me it happens to him also. I'm a believer of ghost and so is he. We're currently planning another road trip in September and plan on driving through the night. We havenever driven through the night so this may be interesting.

don't know much about Shiprock so I'm just wondering if there's anybody else that experiences this? Also is there anybody who can explain to me why this

may be happening.

Comment by Local resident: I hear the same thing! You see I'm from Shiprock NM but now I live in Hogback NM. My relatives told me a story that a way back a family's son was very ill and passed and was buried just out of Shiprock going towards Towac Colorado! That's why every time you passed it feels depressing and lonely..
That exact same feelings you would feel if you lost someone special....
Comment by Corn: Perhaps you could be feeling the desperation of the past. Is it right there by the old jail? It's across from the road to 4 corners and the road to Cortez. It's such a sad feeling. I started that feeling when I was in 7th grade. It hurt so bad. It makes you feel like crying. The sadness is too great.
