I know my husband wouldn't make up such a thing because he doesn't even like to hear about stuff like that, so I completely believe what he said was true! Although I am still kind of freaked out I told my husband maybe it was some sort of angel protecting him. I don't know how to make sense of such things, but I don't deny that it doesn't exist either. Ranchos; also I lived in Talpa as a child! That's why I'm not quick to disregard such occurrences.

I have only been here for a couple of weeks. I live near the Plaza in an old adobe casita that has a court yard. At night when I have my nightly smoke I hear noises and see dark shapes that jump around in the dark.
Finally one night I heard something and I followed the noise into the dark. To my surprise I saw a Duende (little green man) running into the shadows laughing with an evilness that I will never forget.
Scared the heck out of me! Now I keep my smoking to a minimum and I respect that this isn't my home and it belongs to something else. Stay out of the dark!! And respect it!!.
