I ran to the front door and it was locked and her car was not there. I sat on the porch until she came home and told her what had happened.
Many incidents happened in that house to all of the family members though we did not talk about it. There was a dark spot in front of the fireplace that would not go away. My mom cleaned the spot several times and it reappeared.
So they tore the carpet up and put in brand new. After a few months the spot reappeared!

After I graduated and went away to cosmetology school mom told me of her many experiences. My brother sister and step dad all had them.
We have

laughed about it over the years but believe me it was not funny at the time. My sister did research on the House and found that the original owners were a childless couple. She disappeared and they never found her.

Comment by Emmily: I currently live on Adams Street in Tucumcari and have had the same feeling of an evil being watching me. I haven't seen a shadow figure after living here a year, at least not at the foot of my bed. I have seen one in a doorway a few times.
I've caught some evidence of the spirits on my camera. I cannot find any history on this area. How did your sister research it?.
Comment by Becca: I lived on S. 4th. My sister looked it up I believe at the court House. You can also check at the library or the historical society, that is a good place to find out if the area had anything happen.
Good luck! I still drive by when in Tucumcari and get an eerie feeling like they are still watching me!.
