I was born in Taos and lived in Valdez. When I was about 7 I was out walking the dog and encountered a man who told me to stay away from certain people in Valdez. I ran home because the guy was kind of weird and had scared me. I told my mom about him and described him. She was convinced he was a man she had known before my birth who died in a car wreck two weeks before I was born.
When I was 9 I was playing down by the river, and this freaky goth

looking lady tried to get me to cross. She kept grabbing my arm and telling me I was in trouble and needed to get home. My brother came looking for me
|
and ran her off. We were both convinced it was La Llorona. He was 19 at the time. I've got more stories from when I lived there. Will post soon.
