I was hired to paint a vacant house in Helper. I was in the stairway painting the ceiling when a cold hand grabbed the back of my leg. Have you ever heard the expression chilled to the bone? That is exactly what it felt like. I froze and said ''I'm just here to paint,'' and immediately its grip on me was released. I stood there listening for any reason to head for my car, but it was strangely silent. I finished the painting looking over my shoulder every

two seconds and speed walked to my car.
A year later I was hired for the same house. Knowing there was a renter in the home, and it was day time,

and I was feeling pretty confident. The renter was a sweet woman in her 80s. While working she said to me ''this house is haunted. '' I said ''oh yea?'' She went on and on about what she was experiencing. Then she said ''I sometimes feel a cold hand. '' Without saying a word, I finished up and got out of there.
Ok, here is where it gets strange. Two weeks later I was going to lunch alone at Denny's in Salt Lake. Sitting at the counter, I picked
