In the house I currently live in there was a story that the man that lived in the house before us had passed. I can, however, somewhat see ghosts I have been able to since I was a child. Every now and then I will see a shadow figure pass by from the corner of my eye.

I was in the basement of the old high school before they tore it down. When walking around down there there are feelings of impending doom humanoid shadows that do not belong to you. Sometimes the twinkling of eyes can be seen in the shadows. And upstairs in the actual auditorium a silhouette of an old man can be seen wandering the theatre. The lights turn on and off all on their own, and when the power is off static and indiscernible whispers can be heard through the speakers.

Comment by Chandler: I can wholeheartedly say I know there are ghosts in the old high school. However, they were friendly to me. Whenever we were looking for props the spirits would help me. They were aggressive and malevolent towards most, but to a select few (we never could figure out why) they were very kind and helpful.

I lived in a house that is close to the high school. The man that lived there had built the house himself, and my mom knew him personally before he died. That house was haunted by his spirit. Thankfully, he wasn't harmful or even a trickster. One time in the middle of the night, my mom couldn't sleep. Then she heard footsteps running down the hall towards her room, and then a door slammed shut, quite loud. She got up to investigate, and all the bedroom doors were open, and all of us were asleep.
One night, I went into the basement to grab something from the storage. I went to turn the light on, but it didn't turn on. I took a quick glance at the switch and back at the room. I saw an outline of a man in a cowboy hat leaning against the beam in the middle of the room. Without touching the light switch, the light came back, and I had lost sight of the ghost. I later asked my mom for a picture of the man who had built the house. Once I saw it, I recognized the cowboy hat on his head.
