I was walking on the Jordan trail, and I saw this shadow, and I followed it until I went on the water, and then it stopped. I stared at it, and then it screamed and pounced towards me. This was the most terrifying experience in my life.

This is something I have experienced long ago as a kid, but I must mention the back story.

There is a road in Riverton, called Lovers Lane. This road is much heavily wooded and rundown than any other road around the city, and once there was actually a house here that burned down. This place for a long time was popular for teens to hang out at. I do not know the full history of this house, but diligent looking in the area would show in the ruins, pavement and foundations.

Where there was the house, there were old barns that stood longer than the house before. Now, me and my friend went to this area to hang out for a while. But one day when we went, they were tearing down the barns and burning them down. The area is private property, but you can still see the ruins and everything left.
Anyways, this area has had many stories about it, including ghost sightings and strange noises. I remember I was driving down lovers lane at dusk one night, and seeing in my rear-view mirror what looked like a child running across the road. No idea what it was, I just remember it running across the road to get to the other side?
And I vaguely remember hearing laughter from an unknown source when I was at the barns with my friends, which, obviously, freaked us out.
