This occurrence happened over ten years ago but sticks with me today. I lived in a trailer next to where the Avalon is (or was) in Evansville. I was lying on the bottom bunk of my bunk bed late at night trying to sleep, the home was small so a couple of my siblings slept in the living room. Well I remember looking around the room, tired and sleepy, I heard a knock at my front door, followed by screams from the living room which sounded like my little brother

and sister. Then I heard heavy footsteps that stopped right at my door, then the loudest, ear shattering 3 bangs on my bedroom door.
I tried to

move, to yell, to do anything, and I was just paralyzed. I was looking around and was aware and could hear myself kind of like groaning, like trying to talk, but my mouth and face wasn't doing anything. It was just me trying to scream. I couldn't sit up or move, then finally all at once, I gained everything back and shot up in bed, out of breath. And when I tell this story, people try to dismiss it as a nightmare or something like that, but I KNOW it was
