This probably happened when I was between the ages of eight to ten which places it around 1993-1995 while I was living with my parents in Hanna, Wyoming. It was around 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. at night, so it was pitch black outside, but everyone was still awake in the house. My mom was in the living room, watching TV. My dad was sitting at the kitchen table, and my sister was in her bedroom. The closest bathroom to me was in the master bedroom which was directly connected to the living room, so I decided to use that one.
After I was done using the bathroom I glanced into the dark bedroom. (There was no door connecting the two inside.) I witnessed the curtains in front of the window part to each side from the inside and a very ugly face staring directly at me from the outside. Panicked, I rushed and fumbled to unlock the door. I ran into the living room to explain to my mom what I witnessed without ever taking a second look at the window.

She didn't seem to think it was a big deal at all, so my second choice was to run to my dad in the kitchen and explain what I just saw. He didn't seem to care either, but I eventually persuaded him to look outside to see if anyone was in the yard. (Of course no one was.) Nothing out of the ordinary happened that night after the experience, and I'm not sure how I even fell asleep.

Upon thinking about this carefully as an adult now, I have absolutely no idea why neither of my parents were concerned that there potentially might have been a criminal lurking on our property. They didn't seem to even care! Furthermore, how could anything in the physical plane interact with curtains on the inside of the house while they were standing outside? It wasn't a prank because I knew where all of my family members were. There was no one else inside the house, and the face I saw outside the window was hideous like a demon.
It's been so long that I forgot what it looked like, especially since it was only a glance that I took at that young of an age. However, I remember it was indescribable. To make things even stranger, I was wide awake. I was a very active child, and I was around ten years old, so I know it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me. It was very real. It was impossible that it was a group of people playing a prank on me, so I can't explain what happened that night. Since then I've had recurring dreams where I would walk into that same bedroom with the light on this time, but the window was replaced with a smaller mirror that opened up kind of like an old medicine cabinet. It opens very slowly, but before I can see what's behind (or inside) it my entire body would become paralyzed, and I would slowly fall to the ground in slow-motion and would wake up in real life as it hit the ground.
It's a very interesting experience to say the least, and nothing like it has ever happened since then. I've had other less strange experiences, but not while living in Hanna.
