floor. Then the recliner would squeak as it rocked back and forth for an extended amount of time. We'd even call to each other, ''Jane, is that you?'' ''No. I thought it was you!!''
One evening I was trying to break up with my boyfriend, and as he was about to go I hugged him good-bye, and we both froze when we saw a ghostly skeleton hand and a swish of a ghostly skirt go into the back bedroom, where the devil face had been.
On the night

before my wedding I was on the floor putting towels in the linen closet between the two bedrooms, and a dark shadow came up behind me. I yelled at it

to go away, and it receded. One night after I was married, something was rattling our closed bedroom door for about an hour. No one else was in the house with us. It was truly frightening! Shadows would also come up upon the bed from the doorway from time to time when we had the door open.
One time we had friends over and were telling them about our haunted apartment, and a wreath came crashing down off the wall. That one might just have been coincidence,
