The odd thing about that apartment complex was that it was heated with hot water pipes. Sometimes the pipes would get air bubbles in them, and it sounded like someone was banging on them with a hammer. It was a natural occurrence and not a ghostly one, but it sure added to the scary atmosphere of that place. Comment by JD: I forgot to mention that this apartment was on 10th and Garfield which is a block or two away from the old civic center which has several stories of hauntings on this site.

Comment by Randall: I tirelessly looked up stories somewhat similar to my own with no luck. Then I just came across your post which has a similar story to mine where I saw a devilish face in a window too when I was around 10 years old. Coincidentally the story you spoke of is also from Wyoming! If it's a real ghost, maybe there is a pattern hahaha. I posted the story if you look up stories in Hanna Wyoming where I went to elementary school during that time in the mid-90s, if you want. Are you still in contact with your previous roommate? I'd like to see if I could speak with her about what she witnessed.
