As a child around 11 or 12 me and my sibling went into the basement of the civic center. This child's play soon turned into a memory I will never forget. While in the basement after going through the maze of doorways we found the old swimming pool.

My two brothers who were joking and laughing became silent. I looked past them and saw a young boy who looked like he may have been about 5 or 6 walking around the side of the pool. He was dressed in old school boy suit. Black jacket, white shirt, and a black short brimmed hat.

Comment by Shannon: I agree! This place is creepy we received a tour from the lady that currently runs this building via a college class. The old forgotten 1920s pool in the basement was eerie. I took many pictures but caught nothing.
However the civic center is definitely alive with history and maybe those who haven't moved on.
Comment by Elizabeth: The Civic Center is haunted. I have experienced interactions with playful and even violent ghosts/spirits. I believe that these beings can get a feel for energy. I'm sorry you moved your business. I think it's about time the Civic Center gets remodeled or tore down. It's dirty and dangerous for numerous reasons. And a 4th floor existed at one point. It's an unfinished area.
