My wife and I recently inherited her parents house after they both died unexpectedly from separate issues. One died from cancer and the other died from a stroke. I have always been skeptical of ghosts and the supernatural but I had an experience that raised the hairs on my neck.
A little background on the house may help readers understand why it may be haunted. The house was built approximately 1906. It was originally located where Ace Hardware is today. The house itself was one of University of Wyoming's first fraternity houses.

In the early 1970s the house was moved to it's current location. Unfortunately the location is on the former parade grounds of Fort Sanders. My father in law used to complain about all the noises, voices, and apparitions that would take place.

I used to scoff at this. Two nights ago I was sitting in my chair watching television when I heard someone run down the stairs. The third stair is not secure so when a heavy enough person steps on it it will raise up and make a loud thump.
The cats were going crazy. I went over to the door to the upstairs and threw the door open. It was dark with all doors shut except for the one that I was using. I told my wife about it but she did not seem to care.
Since this night we have planned to spread her parents ashes. The ashes of both parents are in the house and I hope that the noises subside. I have seen and heard weird things around the property. But I have a feeling that whatever this is it is a positive energy.
