It's been many years since this has happened, about nineteen years to be exact. The house I'm referring to has had several tenants since then and has been boarded up and vacant for about eight years now.
My husband's niece moved into a single family home that sits on a corner lot near the downtown area. She invited me over to help her and her two boys settle into their new home. The first time I was there I didn't feel comfortable but chalked it

up to the house being fairly empty of furnishings and anything that would make it feel homey. I made a few visits there, usually for a small get-together.

The feeling was still uneasy. It seemed no matter what room I was in I just had a feeling like I was being watched. It was an older house which needed much repair, so again I chalked it up to just being a creepy old house.
