There is a house on Atwater Boulevard near R&N market I lived there for a few months as a kid and my whole family remembers the crazy things that would happen in that house. There was even a story in the paper about it's history and events that the people that moved in after we left encountered including a baby or child getting slapped in the face.
Some things were harmless like widows opening and closing by themselves and footsteps to items moving without anyone being home and my mother saw dishes moving through the air and crashing and I got locked in a closet and couldn't get out my sister opened the door easily from the outside..

Feeling like someone was trying to push you down the stairs.. A lot of strange noises smells and sounds... Supposedly an exorcism was performed but I wonder if anything is still in the house today. If you don't believe it...

Comment by Becky: I remember this house on Atwater Boulevard, I lived in Atwater in the seventies and I used to go over to visit friends who were renting this home. I remember my friend telling me that the doors would be unlocked and even opened kitchen cupboards.
I remember going up and down those stairs and I always got an eerie feeling and I felt closed in. I remember the smells of this home. I stayed one night and was very uncomfortable and was glad to leave the next day.
My friend and her husband had a couple of children but she never mentioned anything to me if they had been tormented. I never knew this place was haunted and I had lived in Atwater for several years. It seemed after my visit everyone knew about it.
In the nineties my husband I went to the R&N market and I pointed to the still standing house and said that place is haunted. The home I remember was right next to R&N market in Atwater. I think they just recently tore it down.
Comment by Sheila: I used to live in that house and my daughter got locked in the bathroom upstairs but there was no lock on the door. Yes there are feelings of someone watching you when you up and down those stairs. Creepy!.
