Back in the 70s before cell phones I was at a place of business with my husband. We had been waiting for nearly 2 hours and it was starting to get dark. I noticed a pay phone in the back of the waiting room so I decided to call and check in at home. Now this was a public pay phone no caller ID no computers just a simple phone.
When I put the change in woman's voice said good evening Karen what number would you like to call!!!! I was so startled

and shaking I wanted to run home.. The request feeling came over me.. No way she could have known my name..

About 15 years or so ago my mom and I were shopping at a store on California Ave. We were finished and ready to go, but I did something I've never done. I told her as we're approaching the door I need to go back inside and look at shoes. Mom was upset because she wad carting a lot of shopping bags, and I had no reason to return to the store. After about 10 minutes I said let's go time to leave. Mom was very mad now because I didn't look at one pair of shoes. Once we got on the freeway headed home we came upon a terrible pileup on all 3 lanes. Had we left the first time, we would have been hurt or killed. I still cannot say what made me so unwilling to leave. I didn't have any desire or plans to buy anything. Just happy I listened to that feeling.

Back in the early 1990s I was driving back home very late one night. I was tired after 5 hours of straight highway, so I turned off the interstate for a scenic view. About 30 minutes on this narrow 2-Lane tree lined stretch of road I came upon a lone man walking on the edge of my lane. It was a moonless night, but I could make out his clothing and this backpack he had on.
