It was very eerie being so isolated with no one around for miles to come across a stranger. I resisted the compulsion to offer him a ride and just kept going. I can add I felt more at ease with every mile I had between me and this odd traveler. Just about 10 miles down that hi way I saw the very same guy again on the roadside. I will never drive that place alone again. Submitted by Don

We grew up in an old house in Oildale in the 60s. There was one bedroom that was always ice cold even in the summer. Didn't think much of it but one night something climbed in bed and I thought it wad my little sister until it crawled to the foot of bed and it was ice cold.

I screamed and mom came and turned on the light. It wasn't my sister. She was sleeping in her own room. Once we were watching TV late at night and my dad was at work till midnight. All the lights were off and I saw a man walking slowly into the living room. He looked like dad and I assumed he got off early but as a car drove past our house and the light came through the window I let out an ear piercing scream. It was a scary mean looking man coming toward us and he just vanished.
Many eerie things happened there but the scariest were the late night phone calls. Every time we were home alone.. Submitted by Vicki
