Late one winter night there was a terrible car accident in the canyon. The weather was cold, and dense fog may have contributed to the driver's loss of control around a sharp curve. The car crashed and rolled to the bottom of the river bed. A young man was driving, and in the fog he saw the figure of an Indian by the bank where the car crashed. He felt compelled to stop and see what's going on. Although he was terrified all alone on a deserted road in the dead of the night he just felt compelled to stop.
The old Indian was eerily silent and still pointed to the steep side of the cliff. The young man saw a twisted heap of a car and called for help. After they got the driver out and in ambulance they asked him how he knew to look there. He looked around the crowd, and the chief had just vanished. He was thanked for saving the life of the victim, but it was a spirit of an Indian chief who was the real hero.

Out on the outskirts of town in a small rural farming community two young brothers were crossing a highway on their way to school. A truck came speeding toward them from out of nowhere as they were in the middle of the road. The older brother Willy lunged forward to push his little brother out of the way, but sadly he was hit and died instantly. At night the swings in the playground will sway when there is no wind. The doors will open and close; books and paper fly off shelves. The night custodians see Willy's shadow. When the swings move they know he's there watching over the school. Submitted by Buttonwillow
