to the abnormally old age of the local station, the county approved the project, and the station was torn down. A new one was put up , and the Bangor Banshee was gone with it. Now the fire fighters could sleep inside in peace, except they couldn't, with the station destroyed it only released the banshee whose wiles can now be heard echoing through the hills of Bangor, haunting anyone who dare cross in its path.

Once when me and my brother were in the Bangor Cemetery we heard a horrible screech. The sound can only be described as not quite human. It assaulted us from every direction at once. It was as if we were surrounded, yet we were the only ones there. It only lasted a few moments, but we both had a migraine for days afterwards and haven't gone back since. Sometimes thinking about that sound still gives me chills.

My gramma lived in the 2-story house behind the post office in Bangor. That house was very haunted. We would hear it upstairs in the daytime. We knew no one was up there, but we would jus keep playing until it got dark. We were always told to settle down, and we would, so it wouldn't walk down the stairs. My auntie and baby were home alone one night, and it started going crazy upstairs, so she had the cops come out to look. The officer told her he would not go in the house. He sent his dog in, and the dog yelped and came running out scared and shaking. My auntie had to go in alone to get the baby's things, and she left until her brothers got home.
